Hannah & David’s beachside Wedding at The Baths Sorrento
Hannah and David’s wedding day was a beautiful celebration set against the stunning backdrop of the Mornington Peninsula. From coastal views to meaningful moments with family and friends, their day reflected everything they value — connection, simplicity, love and laughter.
The day began in Rye, where David and his groomsmen got ready at a private property with panoramic views over Port Phillip Bay. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed, setting the tone for the day ahead. Over in Blairgowrie, Hannah prepared with her bridesmaids and family. She was surrounded by support and laughter, and it was especially meaningful to have her brothers by her side as bridesmen — a personal and emotional detail that added to the day’s significance.
The ceremony took place at the Red Hill Anglican Church, a small, historic chapel that created an intimate and welcoming setting. As Hannah and David exchanged their vows, the room felt warm and genuine. The moment they stepped outside to the sound of the church bells was a memorable highlight.
After the ceremony, guests gathered under the trees in the churchyard while the couple took a moment for portraits with family and friends. The bridal party then made the scenic drive from Red Hill to Sorrento, stopping along the way at a quiet coastal jetty. With soft afternoon light and the water as a backdrop, it was the ideal location to capture a few relaxed portraits.
The reception was held at The Baths in Sorrento — a modern waterfront venue with uninterrupted views of the bay. The atmosphere was elegant yet laid-back. One of the standout moments came during speeches, when Hannah’s brother performed an original song he’d written for her — a touching tribute that meant a lot to everyone in the room.
As the sun set, The Baker Boys Band got the dance floor going, and guests spent the night celebrating by the water under the stars.
It was a pleasure to be part of Hannah and David’s wedding. Their day was a clear reflection of who they are as a couple — genuine, thoughtful, and deeply connected. The Mornington Peninsula once again proved to be an exceptional location for a wedding, offering incredible scenery, great venues, and plenty of opportunities for meaningful moments. Shannon.
